At the Coeliac Society of Ireland Conference in April 2012, we met the newest member of the Coeliac Society of Ireland family “Freeway The Bear“. Revealed as the new mascot of the Coeliac Society, Freeway has been traveling around the country attending support group meetings and helping to raise awareness of Coeliac Disease.
Well on our visit to the Coeliac Society of Ireland this week were were delighted to meet “Freeway Junior“, his little brother that individual members can own for themselves. On our visit we also met the new CEO Gráinne Denning and the expanded team. The energy, dynamism and work that is going on in Carmichael House is a joy to behold and it is great to know that so much is going on to raise awareness of Coeliac disease and research in Ireland and to support those living with the condition. We know that Freeway Junior (cute, isn’t he?) is in great company and we look forward to catching up with the entire team again soon!
