Speaking at the end of a highly successful week, Head of Enterprise in Louth Thomas McEvoy explained “We’re thrilled with the success of Local Enterprise Week Louth.“
Local Enterprise Week took place right across the country from 7-11th March and Louth’s was one of the biggest with over 14 different events.
“Every event was booked out, every single one. And there was a great feedback from delegates who really enjoyed the learning and networking opportunities that we created for them” he continued.
The Local Enterprise Office team were out and about all week managing the events and talking to local businesses owners about the supports that they provide.

Thomas explained “We are the first port of call for business in Louth and it’s very important for business people to know that they can come to us for support. Enterprise Week events are a great opportunity for us to get out and get to meet business people that we may not already know.”
The social highpoint of the week was Thursday’s Comedy and Sport networking evening. A huge crowd gathered to hear TV’s Brent Pope and Karl Henry join local entrepreneurs Sean O’Connor and Ciaran Herr for a lively panel discussion. The evening, hosted by LMFM’s Gerry Kelly also featured comedian Patrick McDonnell who got the event off to a great start.
