Many small businesses want to “Go Green” and embrace the principles of sustainability, but just don’t know where to start. This week we are delighted to support the Local Enterprise Office Dublin City as they launch Green for Micro as part of Local Enterprise Week 2021. This new free support is available to micro-enterprises across the country through the 31 Local Enterprise Offices.
The initiative will be officially launched by An Tánaiste Leo Varadkar TD in his capacity as Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
Hosted by Mary MacSweeney of LEO Dublin City, the event will feature Greg Swift of LEO Dublin City, Kathleen O’Regan and Eoghan Hanrahan of Enterprise Ireland and a 5 incredible entrepreneurs who have already embraced sustainability and used it to make their business more efficient.

Green for Micro takes away all the theory and bringing supports directly to businesses. The programme will provide free one-to-one mentoring. Mentors will work with the business owner to examine their own circumstances, working to develop a customised action plan for each business. For many businesses, the first steps will be actions that can be done quickly, easily and at little or no cost. For example changes in energy and water use or waste production. These can be quick, easy to implement steps.
WhiteLight Consulting worked with LEO Dublin City to develop a format, plan running orders and key messages, develop graphics and animations for this live online event. We developed the technical plans, secured the right technical team and produced the launch event. The event is now available to watch on demand by visiting www.localenterprise.ie/green
