One of the great joys of Project Management is the opportunity that you have to delve deep into a subject. The few months has been largely consumed by intensive planning for today’s launch of the Dublin Belfast Economic Corridor.
It’s involved working with clients and suppliers the length and breadth of the corridor. The chance to look outside your own narrow geography and look at the bigger picture. The joy of building new relationships and creating with other professionals.
The Dublin Belfast Economic Corridor is a partnership between the 8 Local Authorities along the corridor along with University of Ulster and Dublin City University. Today’s launch has been 3 years in the making and has included a detailed piece of research by UU and DCU, scoping out the opportunities and potential.
The launch features local government leaders from the region, Ministers, business and state agencies. It’s painting a picture, a picture of ambition for this region. It’s highlighting the assets, the resources and the potential of this region. It’s showcasing the strengths and saying to the outside world … this is it, this is the region in which to grow and in which to invest.
The launch takes place at 10.00am today, Wednesday 24th March and can be viewed on www.dbec.info/launch … or discover more about the opportunities and potential of the Dublin Belfast Economic Corridor by visiting www.DBEC.info
